Earlier this week Microsoft announced App-V 5.0 Beta. You can download it from Microsoft Connect, try and investigate what has changed. While reading some articles it seems to be rewritten from scratch, I guess the name Softgrid is now history.

For the second time now, I came across a customer scenario where RES Workspace Manager User Settings (on a global level) is configured to preserve and apply Windows Control Panel settings. During logon of a Windows 7 session the RES WM Splashscreen delays for a minute or more on loading these control panel settings.
