Earlier this week Microsoft announced App-V 5.0 Beta. You can download it from Microsoft Connect, try and investigate what has changed. During logon of a Windows 7 session the RES WM Splashscreen delays for a minute or more on loading these control panel settings. You launch a published desktop and wait for the idle timeout to disconnect the current session. If you launch the published desktop, then instead of reconnecting to the disconnected desktop session a new session is created on a different server. There is more than one XenApp 5.0 server with load balanced published desktop.
