From 13 until 15 mei I’ve attended my second PubForum, this time in Dublin. Together with a few colleagues from RES Software we left Thursday afternoon to Amsterdam to catch the flight to Dublin.
We arrived early in the evening in the Hilton Charlemont Place hotel, a great hotel.
We’ve all had a nice room with all kind of comfort you can think about, except WiFi.
In the evening we’ve hit the City and went to the Temple Bar and Bleeding Horse. You really have to like the pubs, otherwise a trip to Dublin is useless.
On Friday we’ve attended some different sessions. After the keynote and some presentations we split up. I’ve attended a XenDesktop 5 Masterclass, which was actually a huge slide deck of 3 hours en no demo or handson, so a little bit disappointing. My colleagues attended some other presentations including AppSense and Sepago.
In the evening we stayed in the pub of the hotel and talked to a lot of interesting guys there.
On Saturday we had our own presentation: ” Service Orchestration and VDX” and afterwards a Masterclass “From Unmanaged Desktop to fully Managed Workspace”. Unfortunately we did not had many attendees due to other interesting sessions (VMWare) and an FA Cup Final. Again a little bit disappointing. We’ve spend the evening in Hard Rock Cafe, Temple Bar and Bleeding Horse. It was really fun.
Sunday we went into the city center of Dublin and spend some money for our families. At 17.15 we took out flight back to Amsterdam. Home at 22.00 after a long weekend with mixed feelings. We did some great networking, but the number of attendees at our presentation and masterclass was disappointing.
